Abalá - Muk uyché location_on How to get

This freefall open type cenote, has a 12 meters length staircase to access the water mirror. The water color is blue and measures 25 meters long by 39 meters wide and a maximum depth of 49 meters. Inside it can be found some vessels and feline bones (possibly jaguar) for a long time this place has been a natural pool for residents and a water suppy. It is recommended to locate the guide of the locality and the use of lifejackets.

Tecoh - Pixyah location_on How to get

The cenote is located 56.5 kilometers from the city of Merida, on the road Acanceh-Tecoh, south towards the police station at Telchaquillo, thence take east to the police station of Pixyah, towards the Sabacché hacienda, on a trail in good state. This is an open type cenote with 9 meters of free fall, descend through a wooden staircase that facilitates the entry to the cenote which ends in a platform from which you enter the water.

A 1.5 km do sitio arqueológico se abre um verdadeiro oásis de vida no meio da selva caducifólia circundante, o Cenote X-canché, de cerca de 50m de diâmetro e rodeado de árvores frondosas que esparramam seus galhos sobre o vazio. Uma dúzia de aves de plumagem azul e rabo cumprido, como escapadas do paraíso, recorrem o cenote de lado a lado, projetando a sua sombra índigo na agua.

Abalá - Mucuyché location_on How to get

It is located 57.4 kilometers south of the city of Merida, nearby the town of Abala, at seven kilometers towards the Mucuyché de Peon hacienda, two kilometers before reaching thetown take left advancing 1.4 kilometers on trail in good state. It is a semi-open type cenote 25 meters long by 15 meters wide and a maximum depth of 50 meters and a two meters mínimum depth.

Homún location_on How to get

It is located 60 kilometers from the city of Merida on the Merida-Chetumal highway, taking the turnoff to Acanceh, trough the town of Cuzamá up before reaching the center of the town of Homún, behind the restaurant “El Cenote”. It's a closed type cenote inside a cave with 12 meters of free fall. You descend through a Stone staircase that facilitates the entry to access the water of this semicircular cenote.

Umán - San Antonio Mulix

This cenote is located 49 kilometers from the city of Merida,on the highway Merida-Muna, at the 39 kilometer take the right margin towards the former hacienda Cacao, then to the former hacienda San Antonio Mulix, from there take a trail for 2.3 Km to reach the site. (You can enter in your vehicle or rent a bicycle). It is a popular place for taking photographs with a special view because the roots of trees hanging over the entrance of the cave.

This cenote is located 49 kilometers south of the city of Merida, at the Merida-Muna road once you reach the 38 kilometer make a turn to the right to Cacao hacienda. When you reach this town take the road leading to the police station in San Antonio Mulix trough three kilometers of paved road in good condition, to a tourist center managed by the community cooperative. The water is clear and in the deeper parts turns blue.

Mérida - Dzibilchaltún location_on How to get

The cenote is located 16.6 kilometers north of the city of Merida, after 12 kms. on the Merida-Progreso road take the rtoad towards Dzibilchaltún to where you will arrive after 4 kilometers. Reaching the town go to the archaeological site of Dzibilchaltún to the CULTUR Services Unit where you should pay an entrance fee. It is an open type cenote almost at ground level, with blue water and measures 22 meters long by 36 meters wide.

It is a semi-open type cenote, with 9 meters of free fall, descend through a wooden staircase that ends in a platform from which you enter the water. This cenote is located 53.6 kilometers from the city of Merida at the Acanceh- Tecoh, then take the road towards the south, to the Telchaquillo town building, thence east to the police station of Pixyah, towards the Sabacché hacienda.

Valladolid - Dzinup location_on How to get

Localizado a 7 km ao sudoeste de Valladolid; este cenote está dentro de uma câmara subterrânea. Podem-se observar formações de estalactites e agua de cor turquesa viva iluminada pela luz natural que penetra a través de um buraco na parte central da abóbada. A agua é pouco profunda e é tão limpa e clara, que se podem observar muitos peixes.

O aceso ao cenote é por um túnel ou gruta. Este corpo de agua tem 45 metros de diâmetro e uma profundidade de 80 metros aproximadamente. Tem cerca de 40 metros de altura desde a boca ao espelho de agua e na entrada tem una escada esculpida na rocha com uma varanda, que circunda o cenote. Observam-se formações de estalactites e estalagmites que penduram do teto rochoso natural que cobre um pouco mais da terceira parte do cenote.

An open type cenote with freefall, where you go 18 meters down a staircase to a wooden platform to access the water. The water has a blue or green hue, depending on the time of the year, the water mirror is 40 meters long and wide, with a maximum depth of 45 meters. It is one of the largest cenotes of Yucatan.

Cuzamá, Yucatán location_on How to get

A closed cenote inside a grotto, which has a water mirrror 27 meters long by 29 meters wide, with a maximum depth of 31 meters. It distinguishes by its great cavern, which you can access through a side entrance at the northern side, and because it has big stalagmites that dive into the clear water. It has also good visibility for the divers.

A semi closed type cenote inside a grotto. It is one of the most visited, since it is part of the Cuzamá cenote circuit. With a concrete ladder 8 meters long and a wooden platform to access the water. The water mirror is blueish and is 48 meters long by 20 meters wide, with a maximum depth of 15 meters.
