This new digital tool is based on a scanning technique to generate a virtual copy in detail of the Monumento a la Patria when taking HD pictures in strategic places of the monument and then processing them in a special software that offers detailed information of each point. It is available in English, Spanish and soon it will be available in Maya language and in French.

Information is divided into three sections: pre-Hispanic, conquest, and colonial; with the objective of highlighting the included places, and generating user’s interest to learn, interact in a non-invasive way, and experience a pleasant moment.

People can see the symbols and characters integrated in the first stage of this project, including the Patria shape, the wings of the Patria’s soul, wild music, wild dance, marine music, marine dance, warriors, Mérida’s coat of arms, agriculture, apiculture, goldsmith, fruit growing, architecture, painting, sculpture, and music. You can also find the characters that were important for Mexico’s and Yucatán’s history.
