About
This renowned hacienda has a Moorish style and neoclassic influence. It was built during the 17th century and is located in the municipality of Abalá. It has beautiful scenarios ideal for private events, each with different sizes and styles, namely the main house, the machine room, the gardens, and the beautiful amphitheater.
The hacienda offers its visitors the possibility to stroll around the property, either on foot or by truck, and also to learn more about the process of extracting the henequen fiber.
One of the attractions of San Pedro Ochil is the “Árbol de Luz” (Tree of Light) in the Amphitheater, which was designed by James Turrell and is located in the middle of a cenote, making it attractive from any perspective.
Hacienda San Pedro Ochil is located 32 kilometers from Mérida, very close to the archaeological reservoirs of Uxmal.
