Known as The Aunts of Acanceh, traditional cooks Chuchi and Berni offer a space where you can experience having lunch in a Yucatecan home. They serve the delicious traditional Poc Chuc, along with other Yucatecan dishes to choose from, such as stuffed cheese, papadzules, or skewers, accompanied by snacks like codzitos, refried beans, or sikil pak, as well as beverages and desserts. In this experience, you can break away from the ordinary as you enjoy your meal in Aunt Chuchi's courtyard, where you can see the layout of a Yucatecan patio and the traditional utensils used to prepare the food you'll be eating. You can also savour handmade tortillas, and if you wish, you can even learn to make them yourself, guided by the expertise and attention of Aunt Chuchi and Aunt Berni. All the products they offer are fresh and locally sourced, and the dishes are cooked over a wood fire by our aunts' hands. Come and taste their delicious flavours!
