"La Palapita de los Tamales" is a popular restaurant in the Magical Town of Valladolid. This unique restaurant has a special story, as it first opened its doors in 2013. It all started thanks to the legacy left by the beloved Doña Argelia, a traditional cook who shared her culinary skills with her son, Chef Alejandro Aguilar. Having learned the techniques and recipes from his mother, Chef Alejandro now offers a wide variety of tamales, including tamal colado, sancochado, and vegan tamales wrapped in hoja santa leaves, among others. Today, the restaurant serves breakfast, appetizers, main dishes, desserts, snacks, and beverages. In the beverage section, you can enjoy artisanal drinks, including the Chac bixin, made with pumpkin, fresh corn, and cinnamon. Additionally, the restaurant offers a delicious Valladolid gastronomic menu and features beautiful interior decor inspired by traditional Yucatecan houses, providing various areas for taking beautiful photos. Let yourself be amazed by the history and traditional flavours of this unique restaurant!
