“Maya Ka” Restaurant is located on the boardwalk of the port of Progreso. They specialize in Mexican and Latin cuisine, with a focus on seafood. One of their dishes that pays homage to Yucatecan cuisine is their flamed shrimp with Xtabentún, sautéed in cilantro cream, served on a bed of banana leaves, accompanied by steamed vegetables with a touch of vanilla, and rice seasoned with the typical chaya of the region.
