A Mayan Village of 27 inhabitants who speak the Mayan language and live under ancient practices of the Mayan Culture, without any influence from the modern world.

San Marcelino is a place to interact with community’s inhabitants, who prepare food with traditional techniques, ingredients come from the same village, and that allows visitors to live the experience of a common day.

At San Marcelino you will make a tour around the jungle and water reservoirs of Mayan structures that extend to Chultún, you will learn about the flora and fauna of the region, as well as the cornfields, squash, and bean crops. The tour ends going back to the village, where women will wait for you with a meal highlighting traditional cuisine of the southern region, with unique flavors and textures.
