Mérida historic downtown represents the origin of the city as we know it. Its buildings, museums, houses, and activities are a mixture of times that keep the essence of our land.
We invite you to go on a free tour from Monday to Saturday starting at 9.30 hours. The meeting point is the tourist information module located at the City’s Town Hall; you will be accompanied by a certified guide that will tell you the information of each place.
The tour consists in walking along the most emblematic sites within the historic downtown, like: City’s Town Hall, Plaza Grande, Casa Montejo, Ateneo Peninsular, San Ildefonso Cathedral, Government Palace, and Fernando Castro Pacheco’s Murals.
