Go on a city tour in Mérida, where you can see the elaboration of a Yucatecan altar. The tour starts visiting the city, going along the landmarks and historical places like the zócalo (main square); street 60, where there are colonial buildings and continues up to Paseo Montejo. Afterwards, you will go to the market to buy flowers, sweets, fruits, candles, and other significant complements for the altar; then you will go to a local house, where a traditional Yucatecan altar will be made for the Day of the Death. They will explain the meaning of each element put in the table. Finally, you will enjoy a local tamal with a chocolate drink.
