K’ay Can Ché cenote, which means snake’s singing on the tree, is located in Homún municipality, where you can find most of the tourist offer regarding cenotes in Yucatán. This place has a wide parking lot, stairs to descend to the cenote, an eye-catching “Mayan dressing room” and some swings.

It is an enclosed-type cenote, with stone formations located in the walls, if you go with a guide or a person from the place is accompanying you, listen to their explanation, it is remarkably interesting, do not hesitate in asking about any characteristic that calls your attention.

Cenote’s water is crystalline blue, it is 98.4 ft deep, approximately, and due to the structure of the rocks which were formed from the vault, the cenote has a peculiar shape, which is why it is an interesting place to take unique pictures, as it gives the impression of being in a water tunnel.

After swimming in these crystalline waters, you can visit the unique and famous Sujuy Há, which means virgin water; it is not allowed to swim in these waters, but you will be amazed by listening about its importance and ancient use by the Mayan priests. Come and visit one of the wonders Homún has to offer.

It includes the entry to the cenote and lifejacket. It is recommended to bring a scuba mask, swimming suit, and towel. Do not use any body lotion.
