The Magic Town of Maní outstands for its history and tradition, proof of this is the St. Michael the Archangel former Convent, an ancient place.

This convent is one of the most important jewels in Yucatán. It was built in 1559 by the architect Friar Juan Mérida. In this religious building you can see a wide façade, which hosted an “open” chapel and a crowned temple. The history of this beautiful place can be known through a guided tour which starts in the main entrance, then, it takes you inside the church to explain you each altarpiece and saint you can see there, the wheel, and finally the vegetable garden and/or cenote.

This place certainly invites you to explore it from all sides, thanks to its mysterious but beautiful charm, you will want to go back to admire the niches painted and decorated by indigenous hands.
