The Biciruta is a familiar-recreational activity which has become a custom in Mérida. There are different routes within the city, however, if you do not like to go in the morning, you can also go at night, on the Evening Biciruta.
It is an activity organized by Mérida’s Town Hall and it is free of charge for everyone. The evening biciruta tour goes from Santa Ana park to Monumento a la Patria. A Paseo de Montejo lane is closed for cars to become a two-way bicycle lane. When arriving to Monumento a la Patria, you will see the video mapping. If you have a bike, you can bring it and enjoy this fantastic and fun activity, if not, you can rent a bike to enjoy the activity. During the tour, you can find other services like hydration stops, police in charge of traffic safety, and of course, first aid services in case there is an emergency. Dare to go on a bike promenade with your family or friends, this not only will detox you from the routine, but it is also beneficial for your health. If you want, you can visit the biciruta’s official website for more information.
