This activity provides a great opportunity to learn about part of the production process of this important food for the Maya people: corn. The beverages that can be obtained from corn, known as "pozoles" and "atole," will be available for demonstration, tasting, and learning. There are seven different drinks to try, including atole made from corn dough (choco sacam), pozol made from tortillas (k'eimi waj), natural pozol, coconut pozol, pozol for offering (sacab), soaked corn (dz'am bii xiim), and pinole (k'aa). Each of these drinks has a specific day of consumption, some are everyday drinks, while others are for specific days since they serve as offerings or are part of ceremonies, therefore, each one has a different meaning.
