With 15 years of experience as a traditional cook, Mrs. Isabel Bacab from the port of Celestun offers through a seafood menu different dishes to anyone who arrives at the port. Her diner called La Chabelita is located in the traditional market, in front of the main park of Celestun. A peculiar dish on her menu is the seafood omelette, which is soaked in sour orange, pepper, and garlic. Once they are ready, they are beaten with egg, and with a little oil, they are put in the pan to make the omelette. It is served with beans, cabbage, onion, and chilli to taste. They have bottled soft drinks and natural seasonal juice. They also have empanadas, panuchos, and salbutes of shark or ray. Don't miss out on these fusion dishes on your visit to Celestun.
