The Codornejos restaurant, in addition to offering exotic meats such as quail, lamb, and rabbit in peculiar dishes, innovates in the preparation of one of its drinks, which they call "Jicaradas". The name of the drink comes from the natural container they serve it in, as they use jicaras, which have been used in the Yucatan region to serve liquid and some solid foods since ancient times until today. The jicaradas are made from local fruit, and the Codornejos restaurant has mamey trees, from which they obtain the fruit for this delicious drink. They also buy nance from local producers to have that flavour. The drink is mixed with coconut liqueur to give it a magnificent touch. This cocktail is a house specialty created with the intention of taking advantage of the ingredients they have and offering visitors the flavours of the region.
