In the year 1940, Mr. Jose Dolores Moo Baas from Maxcanú, popularly known as Don Cheto, opened a refreshment stand where he offered refreshing drinks to the customers: coconut cream water, champolas, and ice creams. This knowledge was passed down from father to son, and it has now reached the fourth generation in direct line, preserving the original recipe and legacy. Champolas are a refreshing beverage made with coconut cream, milk, vanilla, and coconut or seasonal fruit ice cream. When all the ingredients are mixed together, they create a pleasant and unique flavour that delights the palate, providing a memorable experience. On the other hand, coconut cream is a preparation made with coconut milk, presenting a thick and slightly sweet consistency, used to make coconut cream water, desserts, and beverages. Taste the one you like the most to continue the tradition of Don Cheto's beverages.
