As part of the exotic traditional mixology offered at the Xtabentún restaurant in the San Ignacio cenote, they have various cocktails that pay homage to the local ingredients found within the state. The first one is a cocktail based on mezcal, macerated maax chilli, and sour orange. A notable detail of this cocktail is the presentation in which it is served: they use an orange peel as an organic cup and rim it with chilli powder. Another one of their cocktails is the maaxito mezcal, made with cooked tamarind, maax chilli, and mezcal. Lastly, the chaya margarita is a cocktail made with tequila, orange liqueur, lime juice, and chaya extract. Some of the ingredients used in the preparation of these cocktails are harvested from the orchard located at the tourist stop. All these drinks maintain a freshness that will allow you to relax during your stay at the San Ignacio cenote and enjoy its facilities.
