Esmeralda Brewing is a Yucatecan craft brewery that emerged in 2018 with the purpose of promoting the coast and tourist attractions of Yucatan through its flavours and styles. The Yucatan Bitter Orange Beer, in collaboration with Yucatan Tourism, pays homage to Yucatecan culture both in its image and in its flavours and aromas. Bitter orange is a citrus fruit from the region that stands out as a fundamental part of Yucatecan cuisine, and its special aroma is incorporated into the beer's flavour profile, giving it a distinctive golden hue. Currently, Esmeralda Brewing offers three beer lines named Celestún, Coloradas, and Oasis, which are ideal for pairing with anything from seafood ceviche to a delicious cochinita pibil.
