In addition to the natural beauties and breathtaking beaches, Dzilam of Bravo also offers tours of colonial heritage, dating from the 19th, century to visit its churches such as those dedicated to San Antonio de Padua, the Purísima Concepción, and San Pedro, as well as the Municipal Palace.

Most of the tours, organized by local people, are ecotourism oriented offering unique experiences to surround yourself with nature and beautiful landscapes.

The main attractions are:

  • The kayak trip through the Bocas de Dzilam, a group of estuaries surrounded by mangroves. Camping in this area is one of the most requested experiences.
  • Visit the freshwater spring, Xbuya Ha, which gives out fresh water to the surface of the sea.
  • Bathe in the Cenote Elepetén located inside the mangroves. If you pay close attention you will find lizards and other species in their natural habitat.
