La Reina Itzalana has proven to be a restaurant specializing in traditional cuisine while also having the ability to innovate and offer unique dishes on its menu, such as the empanada de pib and chayadzules. This time, they have something special for you to top off your meal: a marquesita cheesecake. To add a Yucatecan flavour, they incorporate an essence of queso de bola (Edam cheese) into the cheesecake's base, obtained through a process where the cheese is grilled to release its essence. Queso de bola is also added to the mixture with cream cheese, resulting in a creamy consistency that you will love. To garnish, a mini marquesita is made with queso de bola, and you can choose between dulce de leche or chocolate syrup to accompany your dessert. The best way to enjoy this dessert is by cutting a slice of cheesecake and making a "chuk'" with the marquesita, savouring both flavours together. Don't miss out on this new combination of flavours at the Santiago Market branch or the San Luis Chuburná branch, both in the evening.
