Coconut creams are very traditional in the Yucatan coasts, due to the abundance of coconut trees. They are usually sold in Chelem, Sisal, Progreso, and at different points where the sun, sea, and sand are present.
Yucatan's coconut creams are typically prepared in two colours (pink and white) or only in white; they are originally made with coconut and cornstarch. Other ingredients include milk and powdered cinnamon, which is sprinkled on top of the dessert to taste.
