Huaya Xec is a refreshing and delicious fruit snack, preferred for its easy preparation. Huaya is a fruit with a flavour that has mainly citrus notes, its surface consistency is fleshy and with a very large seed inside; to prepare a Huayas Xec you only need salt, habanero chilli, lemon, and as many huayas as you want to eat. The huaya peel is easily peeled and the ingredients are added to a deep dish to stir them and enjoy a spicy and citrusy flavour that you will surely love. You can prepare it yourself or even find it at stalls on the streets during the season of May - August.
